Flora was born on August 7, 1924 in Mc Caulley Texas

Flora was the youngest of 5 siblings of Mr. and Mrs. WH (HUB) Parker

In 1941 at the age of 16 she married Jesse Aimuel Rector from Anson Texas they had 3 children Jesse served in the USMC during WWII while Flora worked in factories and cared for family while the men were serving our country, After WWII Flora and Jesse left Texas with their daughter Judy Nell to Long Beach California to join her older sister and lived in California until 1976. Flora and Jesse then relocated to Las Vegas Nevada with trailing family Judy and grandchildren Michael and Kimberly.

Flora was the Matriarch of the family, her accomplishments were many raising Judy and helping with raising her grandchildren many years of her life. Flora was a selfless woman putting the needs and wants of others before her own. Family was cherished more than anything the world had to offer. She was a caretaker of many emotionally and through illnesses she always put others first without complaint or hesitation. She was a great teller of stories and made everyone she met feel special and loved. Many called her mom or mama and she stole the hearts of many. Her loving and warm nature will surely be missed.

Flora was a member of the United Methodist Church and lived her life as a true Christian, she was an angel on earth and now an angel in our hearts.

Flora is Survived by her daughter Judy Norton and son in law George Norton, Her Grandson Michael Nichols, Grandaughter Kimberly Tubbs and grandson in law Michael Tubbs. Brother James Parker and sister in law Joyce Parker and her Niece Rita Edwards
