

Fred was preceded by the love of his life Judith Mirene Haller.
He leaves 3 daughters, Diana McPherson, Kathleen Stansell, Cynthia Novak, 2 grandchildren Shane McPherson, Megan (McPherson) Yoon, 2 great grandchildren Phoebe Yoon, Conor Yoon and grand dog Thumper.
Born May 29th, 1933, in Detroit Michigan, Fred was raised in Phoenix Arizona. He graduated High School from Phoenix union HS. Fred served 3 years in the Arizona Army National guard.
Music has always played an important part in his life. Fred traveled with Bob Hope and played in the band for his USO shows bringing a bit of home to troops serving in harms way. He played with Les Brown and his band of renown. Fred ultimately landed in the entertainment capital of the world Fabulous Las Vegas where he played with the likes of: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tom Jones, Robert Goulet and Don Rickles to name a few. Fred played 20+ years in the Jubilee revue, an iconic show on the Las Vegas Strip.
Fred played many different instruments but was known as a master of the Alto Sax. In his later years Fred played with and mentored many musicians in the UNLV Jazz orchestra.
Fred was an avid golfer, a fierce supporter of the musician’s union and a big Vegas Golden Knights fan.
A grave side service will be held June 19th 1:00pm at Palm Mortuary Northwest 6701 N Jones Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89131.
