George L. Williams, age 87, of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015. Born August 6, 1927 in Quincy, Mass, he had been a Las Vegas resident for 18 years. Prior to that he lived in West Palm Beach Florida and Houston, Texas. Mr. Williams worked with the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino as a carpenter’s assistant. He served in the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul, great grandson Kevin. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Louise, daughter Lauren Williams, step-sons Richard (Lori) Hoffman and Dan (Linda) Hoffman, grandsons Paul (Mariel) Williams and Branden Hoffman, great granddaughter Stella and his former wife and special friend Ruth Ann (Bob) Nichols. Private family services will be held. Contributions in George’s name may be made to your favorite Veteran’s Charity. Arrangements entrusted to Palm Mortuary, South Jones Chapel.
