Gerald, also known as Gerry, was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ila Northfield, whom he married on March 12, 1962. Together, they built a beautiful family and created lasting memories. Gerry is also survived by his brother Robert Williams, and his six children: Diana, Beth, Kurt, Chris, Jerry, and Dawn. His legacy continues through his 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Williams, sister Carol Gard, and great-grandson Gabriel Ray Ramirez.
Gerry had an adventurous spirit and a zest for life. He was known for his humor, outgoing personality, and being the life of the party. His intelligence and curiosity led him on many exciting journeys, including scuba diving and traveling. Gerry was also an avid poker player, always up for a friendly game. He cherished spending time with his family and embraced every moment with them.
In his professional life, Gerry served in the US Navy for 25 years, retiring as Senior Chief. His dedication and commitment earned him the respect of his comrades. After his military service, he pursued a career as a Community Manager, dedicating 30 years to his work. Gerry's expertise and leadership qualities led him to become the President and Chief Operating Officer at Performance CAM, LLC.
Gerry's educational journey included attending Lane Tech High School and graduating from Senn High School. He furthered his education at Southern Illinois University, earning a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and a Master's degree.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on December 14, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Palm Northwest, located at 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
Gerald Ray Northfield will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
