

At the age of 3 the family moved to Wichita, Kansas, four years later to Topeka, Kansas. When Forbes Air Base closed in Topeka, the family moved to Las Vegas, NV where Guy resided until his death.
Guy graduated from El Dorado High School in June 1982. He decided he wanted to become a fire fighter and set his goals in motion. With much studying and classes, he tested at the top of his class and was hired by the Clark County Fire Department in 1989. He was a fire fighter paramedic until his retirement in June 2020. He loved his job and retirement was a major decision and at times regretted it.
In 2005 Guy married the love of his life Gina Adams. Together they raised their menagerie of cats. Guy was a gun collector and an avid reader.
Guy was proceeded in death by his father Glen Powell and sister Kimberly Irick.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 24 years Gina, mother Joan, stepfather Fred, additional close family members Anna, Terrance, Ronald, Rex, mother in law Patricia Adams, three beloved nieces Alexandria, Anastasia, Alivia and nephew Tye Irick.
His life will be celebrated by a remarkable group of family, friends and colleagues at Palm Northwest Mortuary on April 3, 2022. Many Thanks to all the friends that have reached out to the family in this time of loss. Your caring thoughts have been a great comfort.
