Heaven Lee Akmal passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the age of 18. Heaven was born on February 8, 1999 in Beverly Hills, California and was a freshman Theatre major at the University of Nevada – Renowhere she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She was a 2017 graduate of Palo Verde High School where she was active in Student Council. Heaven had a passion for musical theatre and she shared her talents throughout the Las Vegas community. Heaven was a member of the Broadway Bound musical theatre program and had also performed with Palo Verde High School and Super Summer Theatre. You would seldom see Heaven without a smile on her face, and her laugh was infectious. She made everyone around her feel welcome and was an extremely positive role model for her peers. Heaven is survived by her parents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and countless friends, all of whom will carry Heaven’s compassion, love, and zest for life with them in their hearts. “Look around and you will see…there’s always me.”
