Helen Curtin, 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on May 6, 2026, leaving a legacy defined by a selfless heart and a famously sharp wit. Born on November 27, 1954, in Boston, Massachusetts, Helen carried her classic East Coast spirit with her wherever she went—a blend of unwavering toughness, deep generosity, and a refusal to sugarcoat the truth.
Helen was a woman who lived for others, consistently placing the needs of her family and friends above her own. She was the steady hand in any storm, offering an easy-going presence that made her the natural center of her home. Yet, she was never one to mince words. Gifted with a keen mind and a brilliantly sharp tongue, Helen was the person you went to when you needed sound advice. She told you what you needed to hear, not just what you wanted to hear, and her honesty was a gift to everyone lucky enough to receive it.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Curtin, with whom she shared her life and her heart. She also leaves behind her children and grandchildren, who will forever remember her as their fiercest advocate and their wisest counselor.
Family and friends are invited to honor Helen’s life on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, located at 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave, Las Vegas, NV. Viewing: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Service: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Helen moved through the world with a rare balance: she was easy to be around, but she never settled for less than the best for those she loved. She taught us the value of looking out for one another and the importance of saying exactly what needs to be said. Her memory will live on in every honest conversation and every act of kindness we carry forward in her name.
