She was born December 6, 1933, in Mount Ida, Arkansas, to Felbert and Bertie Vaught. She went to school in Gillham, Arkansas. She married Raymond Guire on December 24, 1953, in Gillham, Arkansas. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BSE. She worked as a teacher for Puerco Unified Schools from 1965-1990. She loved to write, and hobbies included many types of arts and crafts.
Sue Guire was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Felbert and Bertie Mae Miller Vaught, two brothers-in-law Russell Emerson and Robert Wells, Sr., and two sisters-in-law Hope Vaught and Linda
Vaught.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Guire of Las Vegas, Nevada, one daughter Jeannine (James Randall) Bishop of Las Vegas, Nevada, two brothers Felton (Carolyn) Vaught of Gillham, Arkansas, J.D. Vaught of Horatio, Arkansas, two sisters Ruby Emerson of Texarkana, Texas, and Shirley Wells of Grannis, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Jaime (James) Gannon, Jessica Bishop (Cory Laffin); three great grandchildren Braxton, Hayden, and Jameson; a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and
nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Guire’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later time.
