Jean T. Kaimi, 60, an insurance clerk for an investment company, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012. Jean was born Dec. 22, 1951 in Honolulu. She was a 17-year resident of Nevada and a beloved friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mauro and Lucena Tivera. She is survived by her husband, with whom she shared a grand adventure of 42 years, Arthur S. Kaimi Jr.; son, Lee-Andro Kaimi; daughter, Charlotte (Gregg) Morimoto; brother, Elpidio Tivera; sister, Marilyn Tivera Garcia; brother, Edwin Tivera; and four grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones, Las Vegas. Donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
