Jeffery R. Jones

Jeffery lived life to the fullest until June 1, 2024. Born on March 28, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past thirty years until his passing. Jeffery was the beloved son of Joseph X Jones and June Jeanmarie Jones. He grew up in a very close knit family. He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty-five years, Elaine Theresa Jones, two children, Anthony and Jeffery, and 10 adoring grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and June Jones, older brother, Joel Joseph Jones, and his younger brother, Baxter Jones.

Jeffery is survived by his sisters, Janice & Charles Morgan, Linda & John Lockett, Judy Downs, Deirdrea & Kevin Hazure Sr., and Charmaine & Willie Brown, and one brother, Darryl Jones.

Jeffery studied at L A High School and proudly graduated in 1967. He worked many years in Los Angeles as a licensed painter contractor. He went on to work at the family recycling business alongside his three uncles, Sidney, Lionel, and Edwin.

Jeffery had the unique gift of walking in to a room and everyone would smile. He truly loved his family and at all times, whenever possible, he was with them.

Outside of work, Jeffery had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He loved fishing, bingo, playing cards, shooting pool, playing sports, boxing, and baseball.

Jeffery's infectious laughter and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In his memory, let's remember to live each day to the fullest, just as Jeffery did.

Jeffery is with the Lord now, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
