Jocelyn and I had been friends since high school. I met her at Venice High School .  We became great friends but after high school graduation her family moved way to Las Vegas .  But we continue to keep in touch .  Two Summer ago , my family went to Oregon and we met up for dinner.  It was so good to see her and  to hear how her kids are all grow up and doing well .  I will treasure that moment I spent time with her.
She was a great mom, friend and a daughter .  
You were taken too soon.  Our path will cross again someday .

Aug 24,2024 Bend Oregon, we got the chance to see each other again after soo many years. And I can’t still believe this will be our last picture together Joy.

I wanred to extend my sincere condolences to the family of Joy, we would miss her Joyous light and presence.

We've been friends since Grade 1.  I found a bestfriend for life. I am so heartbroken right now having to lose the most kind hearted person  and a sister. I wanted to hug in those times that you are in pain but distance makes it alll impossible. We planned  to have a road trip after your chemo and was so excited about it . I am lost for words having to feel this loneliness  losing you. But I guess its for the good, no more pain for you to endure.  I'l hug you in my dreams. Enjoy your trip to paradise my bestfriend. I'll miss you so much.

One of the most unforgettable memories. Joy is the only one who can drive and have a car during this time and we went all the way to Hollywood. And I do think she get in trouble for this.

I still remember how heartbroken I was when you left the Philippines back in high school—I cried so much. Now, I find myself grieving again, this time more deeply, with your passing.

But even in sadness, I celebrate you.

You were a true warrior in this life. You faced every challenge with courage and resilience, grounded in your deep faith in God. That strength inspired so many of us.

I believe with all my heart that you are now in a place of perfect peace, embraced by the love of Jesus and Mary. You're home.

Until we meet again on the next part of the journey—there are no goodbyes, only "see you later."
