Barbara, affectionately known as Bobbi, was born June 11, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Sarah (Petramale) Fruscione. She found the love of her life, John J Vece, and married him at age 21. Residing in the Chicago suburbs, together they raised a delightful daughter and three wonderful sons. Bobbi, highly talented at making everyone feel welcome, became a second mom to many of their children’s friends.
Ready for some warmer weather and semi-retirement in 1991, Bobbi and John moved to Las Vegas, NV. Having a strong and loving family bond, all four of their children quickly followed and remain to this day.
Bobbi loved being surrounded by her family and showed it by cooking a traditional Italian meal of pasta and gravy every Sunday for all of them. She treasured caring for her young grandchildren and remained a huge part of their lives into their adulthood. Her great grandchildren gave many smiles and light to her later years. She brought as much joy to them as they did to her.
Having a keen sense of wit along with a kind and spirited soul, Bobbi was skillful and admired for her genuinely heartfelt conversations as well as playful talks. She enjoyed reading, movies, shows, games of all kinds, and especially had a passion for Bingo.
Bobbi was the center of her family. She will be immensely missed but will continue to live on in each and every one of their hearts.
Bobbi is survived by her husband of 56 years, John; her daughter, Donna; her three sons, John (Beth), Michael and Anthony; Grandchildren Skye, Kirsten, Nicholas (Alyssa), Michael, Jack and Taylor; Great grandchildren Hannah, John, Joseph and River. Also survived by her two brothers Richard (Nancy) Fruscione and Joseph Fruscione; Brother-In-Law Vincent; three Aunts Anna, Dolores, Virginia and Uncle Guy, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bobbi is welcomed into heaven by her loving mother Sarah and father Joseph, her dear sister-in-law Jacqueline, as well as other cherished family and friends.
