John Thomas DeLucchi

JOHN DELUCCHI--John Thomas DeLucchi, 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away Saturday October 19, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. John was born in San Francisco, California on December 2, 1958. He is the second child and only son of Frank DeLucchi and Ruth Aiduks. He was a Firefighter and Engineer for the City of Las Vegas for 23 years. In addition to working for the City he operated his own telecommunications business for 25 years. Prior to working for the City he worked for Centel (now Century Link) for 11 years.

His father, Frank DeLucchi passed before him. He is survived by his wife Denise DeLucchi; son, Daniel DeLucchi (Krystal); daughters, Sandra and Samantha DeLucchi; mother, Ruth DeLucchi; and sisters, Valerie Olmsted and Debra DeLucchi.

John loved being outdoors. He loved riding ATV’s and motorcycles, and camping. He spent over twenty years as a Boy Scout leader. He was a huge music fan. John loved helping others and dedicated his life to serving his family, the community, and the members of his church. He easily made friends with many strangers just by being kind. John loved to laugh and joke and brought much joy to the lives of those around him. He loved running and biking and would sometimes run or bike to work. John loved spending time with his family and was a wonderful and caring husband and father.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28 at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the LDS Chapel at 10070 West Azure Dr., Las Vegas, NV at 10:00am.
