Jose S. Naidas M.D.

Jose S. Naidas, M.D., 68, a medical doctor, of Las Vegas, passed away April 6, 2010. He was born June 19, 1941, in Malita, Davao Del Sur, Philippines, and was an eight-year resident of Nevada. Jose practiced medicine in Louisiana, Mississippi, the West Indies and South Africa before moving back to the United States in 2003. He lived in Chicago for nine years before moving to Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victoriano and Leocadia Naidas; and sister, Amanda. Jose is survived by his loving wife, Nerissa L. Naidas; daughter, Christine (Michael) Wall of Falls Church, Va.; sons, Jose Oliver Naidas, Jr. of Chicago, and Michael Andrew Naidas of Las Vegas; sisters, Pacita (Credo) Tan of the Philippines, Beatriz (Amador) and Luz Hlavaty, both of Las Vegas, Lillia (Cipriano) Castro of the Philippines, and Prudence Landicho of Las Vegas; brother, Alfredo (Carmen) Naidas of Chicago; and a host of nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, April 9. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10, both at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Interment will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
