Joseph M. Hoare

Joseph M. Hoare passed away on Dec. 26, 2013. He was a resident of Las Vegas since 1987. He retired from General Mills Inc. after 40 years of service. He was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, one of nine children born to Martha and George Hoare. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 34 years, Lorraine; three brothers, George, William and James; and three sisters, Doris, Mary and Martha. He is survived by eight children, Joanne Harmon, Joseph Hoare, Jr., Mary Beth Behrens, William D. Hoare, Margaret Griffin, Christopher Hoare, Catherine Daley and Andrew Harmon; two stepchildren, Thomas Dalton and Debbi Somers, as well as 20 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was a founding member of St. Joseph Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Sunday, Jan. 5 from 5PM-7PM at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146 and a mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89117 on Monday, Jan 6 at 10AM with burial to follow at Palm Northwest Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
