Joyce M. Cummings, age 70, of Las Vegas, passed away on September 9, 2013 in Las Vegas. Born January 25, 1943 in Springfield Mass., she had been a Las Vegas resident for 18 years. Mrs. Cummings worked as a Porter at the Stratosphere until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jim; children Jim (Elizabeth) Cummings, Celeste Johnson and Barry Cummings; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister Gail Sugalski; brother George (Barbara) Bernier. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Cummings; grandson Jason Johnson. A memorial service is being planned in Springfield, Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joyce's name are suggested to St. Jude Research Hospital.
