Karen Lois Brinkley

Vegas, Nevada at the age of 64.

Karen is survived by her three children, Christopher Brinkley, Michelle Brinkley DeWig

and Jennifer Brinkley. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael D. Brinkley.

Karen was born on June 24 th 1953 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to George and Clara

Schreiner. Karen was the middle child of three; her older brother Randolph Schreiner

and her younger sister Barbara Knight. Karen married Michael, a mechanical engineer,

in 1973, and they moved into the Las Vegas area in the early 80s. Karen was a stay at

home mom raising her three children. When her youngest child was school aged, Karen

began working for the Clark County Schools District, becoming an office manager and

opening Sheila Tarr Elementary School. Karen was an active member the community

and Grace Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Karen enjoyed entertain both

her family and friends, her time ballroom dancing, and crocheting gifts for others.

The memorial service is scheduled for Friday, June 22 nd , 2018 at 2:00pm at Grace

Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas, Nevada with a reception to follow. All are welcome

to attend and celebrate Karen’s life.
