Kathleen Bishop passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, in Las Vegas, after a long and courageous battle with illness. Kathleen was born Sept. 11, 1948, in Pittsburgh, to Adam Zaney and Rose Tornabene Zaney. She moved to Las Vegas in 1966 after graduating from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. She worked at the office for the Nevada attorney general for 21 years before retiring in 2009. Her parents and her long-time companion, Jonathan Carter, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Faith Bishop of Las Vegas; her sister, Karen Hodorich and her family of Las Vegas; her brother, Kevin Zaney and his family of San Francisco; and her former husband and good friend, Thomas Bishop of Las Vegas. Private memorial services are Wednesday, July 10, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. The family requests that any donations made in Kathleen's honor be given to the American Kidney Foundation.
