I am so happy that we went to lunch this day to listen to stories  Kate shared.  She was really happy and that's all her family wanted for her. The last chapter of her life was where she was meant to be.
I asked her because she was born in 1938, "What is the secret to living a long life?"
Kate: "Doing all the things in life I was told I could not do as a Woman". 💪

Kate you will not be forgotten.

I miss you. More than my beautiful patient, a good friend and respected retired fellow RN.

That scared me more than shocked me. She enjoyed every single bite. We both share and we could have shared an insulin shot too.
