LCDR Lawrence S. Beers, USN (ret.) age 75, of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Born May 6, 1940 in Chicago, he lived in Las Vegas for more than twenty years. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, Mr. Beers worked in accident reconstruction investigation, retiring in 2005. An avid Bridge Player, he enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching murder mysteries. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tanya Wilson and sister, Jean Miller. Survivors include his wife of more than 50 years, Harumi; daughter Wanda (Joel Landon); grandchildren, Kyle (Melissa) Birdno, Cynthia (Glen) Freyer and Natasha Crabtree (Christopher Mounts); two great grandsons and son in law Carl Wilson. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7pm Friday, June 19, 2015 in the Palm Mortuary Hospitality Center, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, with prayers and Military Honors performed at 5:30pm. Private inurnment will take place in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, Nevada
