Leonardo was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Many knew him as Leo. He was a loyal, devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to all.
Leo wore many hats in his life but his favorite was when he was husband/dad while surrounded by his wife and children; sharing his dad jokes, giving random fun facts or asking what would you do scenarios. He found joy in the little things in life but provided a life that so many dream of, he had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up the darkest room.
Leo was a bright pillar in the hotel & casino industry. He impacted many lives over the past 15 years throughout his career at Luxor Hotel & Casino, The M Resort & Spa, PKWY Taverns, and most recently Palace Station Hotel & Casino where he held the title of Assistant Food & Beverage Director, a title he worked hard for and was proud of.
Leo’s kindness, generosity, caring nature and charisma leave many grieving. His passing is truly an unimaginable loss to all who knew him and he will be deeply missed.
Leo is survived by his loving wife, Ventura Morrison-Alarcon; his children, Tyler, Julia, Devon and Isabella “Izzy”; his mother, Delphine Gavaldon; his brothers, Joey and Lenin “Steven”; his sister, Gretal; best friend, Brandon Juetten; along with his niece, multiple uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family.
Leo was preceded in death by his beloved father, Leonardo Alarcon; unborn son, Liam “Bean”; maternal grandmother, Isabelle Gavaldon; mother in law, Robin Downen; uncle, Edward Gavaldon; and uncle/godfather, Steven Gavaldon.
