Born in August 1961 in Franklin, Indiana, to Leslie and Martha McKown, Liana lived a life of love, dedication, and service. She grew up mostly in southern Indiana. One of her pleasures was spending times at the family's wooded acreage and cabin. A good swimmer, she was a life guard in summer youth camps. A good imagination kept her entertained.
As good student, Liana earned the degree of Bachelor of Arts.
In February 2003 Liana married Patrick Edenfield at their home in Metter, Georgia in a service officiated by her parents, both ordained Methodist Ministers.
With a strong commitment to environmental health and safety, she spent over 30 years working in industry as an Environmental Health and Safety manager. Her last employment was with NV Energy in Las Vegas, Nevada. Liana’s love for helping people and keeping them safe was always first on her mind.
Liana is lovingly remembered by her family, including her father, Leslie McKown; sister, Karen McKown; husband, Patrick Edenfield; son, Christopher Buis; daughter, Victoria Thompson; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
