Liana was a shining light in the lives of many—a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. While she held many titles, the one she treasured most was “Mom”. Her children were the greatest joys of her life, and she was deeply proud of Donnie and Brooke and all they accomplished.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Liana graduated from Temple Baptist Academy and later attended the University of New Mexico, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on accounting. Liana made her home in Las Vegas, NV; and lived there enjoying time with family and friends.
Liana was also a truly talented artist whose creativity inspired others. She had a passion for painting and decorating and possessed a special gift for restoring furniture. She loved finding unique pieces in thrift stores and online, bringing them back to life with her skill and imagination—often transforming them into something completely new and beautiful. She was also a gifted writer; she found joy in storytelling and went on to write a memoir.
The bond Liana shared with her parents was the very definition of unconditional love. Her mother, Lucille, was her rock, confidante, and best friend. Their laughter often filled the room, a testament to their unbreakable connection. Her relationship with her father, Gordon, was equally special, filled with humor and mutual affection.
Liana had a true love for her four-legged companion and sidekick, Dora. She found peace and happiness in giving Dora the best life possible, whether Dora was healthy or not. She filled her life with love and safety, and lots of healthy treats. Liana’s devotion to Dora was unwavering.
Known for her keen sense of style and radiant beauty, Liana had a presence that turned heads and left a lasting impression wherever she went.
She is survived by her son, Donnie Morgan, and his wife, Daisy Morgan; her daughter, Brooke Costello, and her husband, Collin Costello—all of Las Vegas, NV.
She is also survived by her parents, Gordon and Lucille Danser of Albuquerque, NM, who are now retired and living in Las Vegas, NV; her nephew, Bryan Danser, and his husband, Ron Golden of Las Cruces, NM; and her niece, Robin Van Ornum, along with grand-niece Kathryn Van Ornum, of Albuquerque, NM.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Denise Van Ornum, and brother-in-law, Steve Van Ornum, both of Albuquerque, NM, as well as by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other beloved relatives.
Liana, we will forever cherish your memory.
You will be deeply missed by all who loved you.
