Lucille Clara Shipler

Lucille Clara Shipler, 97 passed away on July 26, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada after spending her birthday with family and friends. She was born July 23, 1921 in Hanover, Wisconsin to Charles W. and Clara (Rhode) Richards. She spent a lifetime in South Beloit, IL prior to selling her home in 2002. Lucille was a beautiful person who treasured and took great pride in raising her family. Lucille was not only a loving mother but grandmother to seven & great grandmother to nine.

She loved Hawaii making 36 trips enjoying special memories with her family, as well as making great friends from the Island.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers Erwin, Harold and Kenneth. She is survived by her sister Lorraine Kastner, sister-in-law Beth Richards; four children, Richard (Mary) Shipler, Janice (Patrick) Mockus, Dennis (Tian) Shipler, and Karen (Dick) Raby,grandchildren and great grandchildren, niece & several nephews.

A private service is being held at Palm Northwest Mortuary Las Vegas, NV, August 1st. Rosman Uehling Kinzer Funeral Home, Beloit, Wi is assisting family for services yet to be determined. Interment will be at the Floral Lawns Mausoleum in South Beloit, IL.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the COPD Foundation, American Heart Association, Age-related Macular Degeneration Foundation, or charity of your choice.
