Luis M. Vargas' parents were Augurio and Mena Vargas. Luis was raised in San Andres Bukid, Metro Manila. He had eight brothers, Jose, Elmer, Alberto, Salvador, Rafael, Nestor, Jesus, Augurio Jr. and one sister, Gloria. His primary occupation was Pacific Bell Telephone Company Sales Representative.
Very much like a kid himself, Luis identified with the inquisitive and creative side of his children’s personalities. He was able to direct his energy and spontaneity towards helping his children acquire added common sense skills. Luis was blessed with two, Augie and Justin.
When Luis’s retirement finally came in 1996, he was well prepared. He used logical analysis of his retirement options in order to ensure his retirement would be fulfilling. Still, he was able to easily adapt to possible changes and enjoyed just having fun and being relaxed. In retirement, he found new pleasure in Construction and Trucking business.
Luis passed away on November 9, 2012 at Nathan Adelson Hospice, Las Vegas, Nevada. Luis fought a brave battle against cancer. Services were held at Palm Mortuary - Downtown. Luis was laid to rest in Manila Memorial Cemetery.
