Lynne graduated from Basic High School in Las Vegas in 1959. She went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career with the Bureau of Reclamation, beginning as a secretary in 1965 and retiring as a Contract Compliance Officer in January 2007. She retired alongside her dear friend Beth, marking the beginning of their next great adventure, world travel.
Together, Lynne and Beth joined the Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) group and began exploring the globe. An enthusiastic traveler, Lynne visited all seven continents and countless countries. Of all the places she explored, Germany held a special place in her heart, it was her favorite destination, in part because of the family she had living there.
Lynne’s greatest joy was sharing her love of travel with those she loved. She took each of her grandchildren on international trips and even brought one of her nieces along for the experience of a lifetime. Her final journey abroad was to Germany in April 2025.
Curious, adventurous, and courageous, Lynne found beauty in learning new things and took immense pride in her family. She was deeply devoted to her family and cherished every moment spent together, she was so proud of each and every one of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ruth Weir; siblings, Shara, Suzie, and Larry. She is survived by her brother, Mike; her children, Marie (Ed), Frank, Brian, and Denis; her daughter-in-law, Karen; her grandchildren Thom, Danny, Nick, Zane, Ariel, Alex, and Andrew; and her great-grandchildren Polina, Ellena, and Henry.
Lynne leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, strength, and love, a life well-lived and deeply treasured by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Palm Henderson Mortuary and Cemetery, located at 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
