                    I want to say something funny like here like I remember one day when we stayed the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house when we were going to go to a movie and Grandpa didn't want to take us to a kids movie or had something to do she actually drove us to the movie herself this was 16-20 years ago, but still she drove. 
                     Grandma was a person of little pleasures she didn't need extravagance she was comfortable where she was and who she was. She took greater joy in the little things that a lot of people miss out on in life. She was a nurse that wouldn't listen to Doctors and lived how she wanted until that choice was taken from her, but she never let that stop her from enjoying those little things that brought her joy.

Today is your 50th wedding anniversary I'm so sorry you are not here to celebrate it with us! I know that you are looking down on us & celebrating with everyone in heaven.  You tried hard to hold on till today. You showed us all how strength, determination & grace helps us all be stronger & more mindful of the ones we love. Thank you for showing all of us how a real marriage has it's up's & down's & if you put in the work you can overcome anything this life will throw at you.

You left us sooner than we would have liked but I know that a part of you will live on in my heart. Thank you for being a wonderful mother in law. I was lucky and blessed to be in your family. I am missing you and Love you very much!!

I miss the times when it was 2017 Summertime and every afternoon she would go over to the kitchen and grab a yogurt and three crackers. I miss her. I love you Grandma!

I miss when we celebrated Mother’s Day with Grandma Peggy. Since I was with my dad on Sundays and my mom worked on Mother’s Day most years, we went to see Grandma instead. This year she passed away before we could celebrate Mother’s Day. I never realized how important that is to me. I wish I could tell you again how much I love you and give you more hugs. Grandma, I love you!

Throughout my life my mom was always there for me. She lived a great life, being able to travel often, visit beautiful places and spend lots of time with family and friends. I remember every time I got hurt, the first place I would go is to my mom. Even when I broke my leg and needed surgery, before I went to the emergency room, I had to go see my mom first. My mom always had my back. Without her I would be in a completely different place in life. She is gone way too soon and I miss her more than mere words can describe. I didn’t say it enough when you were alive, I love you and thank you for all that you did for me and for helping to make me the man I am today! I am thankful that I was given such an amazing woman as a mother! There will forever be a hole in my heart.

I remember Aunt Peggy as sweet, quiet, and kind.  Always happy to visit with family, and always with a sincere smile.  I was always touched when Aunt Peggy and Uncle Dick traveled so far to be able to attend so many special occasions over the years, and how important family obviously was. Her last trip to Illinois was a whirlwind, and she was already ill, yet she still made time to come visit my home and my little business, and even go to watch my son’s Little League baseball game.  Then she got all dressed up and attended my daughter’s wedding, with that same sweet smile on her face. 
One more strong memory is how she loved Facebook! Another way for her to feel connected to family who were all so far away, it always made me smile when she was the first to ‘Like’ every picture and every post.  This quietly graceful Aunt of mine was well loved by a family she held so dear, and I am sending prayers for comfort and peace to her children and grandchildren, and to sweet Uncle Dick. May you find strength in your love for her, and for each other. 

Grandma, 

I know that the end wasn't an easy journey for you, but I am beyond grateful that you were able to live such a full life beforehand. Being a grandchild had bumps, but I remeber swimming at the house & pulling peaches right off the trees, eating peanut M & M's & crunchy peanut butter with apple slices. Spending days by the pool not getting your hair wet while sipping margaritas & having our classic chips and salsa as an afternoon snack. As well as all the family trips we would take together.

Even in the end when we took you clothes shopping & you definitely weren't interested in being there. I am so grateful I was able to support you as much as you supported me. Continue watching us from Heaven & I will know you are there everytime I see a hummingbird buzzing by; knowing you are still getting to travel the world one wing at a time. 

Grandma, even though I wasn’t a biological grandchild you never treated me any different. I’m so happy you were part of my life. I remember as a child we would go to your house to go swimming I was so excited to go everytime. We would swim, play in the house , and eat peaches off of your tree in the backyard. Some of my favorite memories I have are at that house with you and grandpa. Thank you for always being an amazing person. I miss and love you.

I was privileged to be sisters-in-law with Peggy for 50 years. We shared vacations together in Hawaii and St. Maarten. I was always impressed that when we visited in Las Vegas that the family always gathered, because family was so important to Peggy.  Not to mention how frequently Dick and Peg came to Illinois to connect with family. The most poignant was their trip to David’s funeral. Peg was unable to fly, and their trip had to bypass the mountain route due to her illness. So, they made a 4 day journey. Not only were they in Illinois for the funeral, they also attended our granddaughters wedding. As incapacitated as Peggy was, she always had a smile on her face, and she accepted her limitations with special grace. The first thing I remember about Peggy was her radiant smile, her sparkling eyes. I was so happy for my brother, Dick!  To the very end, when she could no longer even speak, those expressive eyes, that radiant smile were how she communicated. I have never been more moved by one persons total acceptance. She will always be an inspiration!  

I remember giving you a mani pedi it was so amazing to make you feel loved again. I won’t forget how happy You were when I painted your nails and cleaned out your ears. That will always be one of my best memories with you! Love you forever!

The most recent time I saw my Aunt Peggy was last year at my Uncle David’s funeral (her brother-in-law). I had just been discharged from the hospital 2 days prior from another major spine surgery. It was month #4 wearing my waist-to-forehead brace, I was on a walker, always in pain, probably feeling sorry for myself. When I saw Aunt Peggy, she greeted me with a big smile on her face. This strong woman, enduring all that she had to endure, yet she was truly happy to see me. Later, I realized that, even with all that I went through, it was temporary. Only temporary. I was the lucky one.
She braved through a terrible disease, yet, had the temperament & strength to go face on – no matter what. Aunt Peggy was such a strong & admirable woman with a big heart.
To all my cousins, I am so sorry about your losing your mom. I can’t imagine how difficult that must be. Uncle Dick, words can’t describe how sorry I am that she’s gone – your partner for 50 years. I hope you find solace in knowing that she really is in a better place and her pain is finally gone. Find strength in God.

Rest In Peace, sweet lady. You had class and elegance and always made my family feel welcome. You will be missed. 

When my family moved to Harvard, Peggy was my guide to success at Harvard High School.  We met on the school bus and had most of our classes together.  We shared sleepovers, football games and after school walked downtown to get nickel cherry cokes at a pharmacy soda fountain. 
Sadly my family moved to Florida at the start of our junior year. Those two years were the very best of my life.
I was overjoyed when she sent me a green checkered card table cover and matching napkins she made for my wedding.  I still have, use, and cherish it. 
We kept in touch by old-fashioned letters as we built our homes and families for many years.Because we were both moving frequently, we lost touch for a while.  
I cherish my memories of what we shared.  I hope her beloved family will find peace and comfort in beautiful memories.

I have known Mrs. Willer’s daughter, Emily, for 30 years. This also means I have known Mrs. Willer  for the same amount of time. I have very fond memories of her growing up. She was always kind, honest and caring. I remember whenever Emily and I would ask permission for something and we got an answer of “I suppose”, we knew we were good to go. (Those became my favorite words.) It was easy to get my Mom’s permission after we already had hers! 
My heart hurts for Emily and her family. A beautiful soul returned home and while heaven gains an angel, we lose one. 

Peggy was my big sister.  She was a lot to live up to!  In school, all my teachers would say, oh, you must be Margaret’s sister., and they expected me to do as well as she did!  She was a great student, always got good grades, obeyed all the rules, everyone liked her.   We usually got along fine, except when it was time to clean our room which we shared.  She had her side and I had mine!  There were a lot of arguments I remember.
We did  work together when we were learning to drive a car.   I’d ride with her when she was practicing and she’d ride with me when I was learning.  Dads car had a stick shift that we both had trouble with, especially at that stop sign in Lawrence. It was uphill and we always stalled the car!
We’d drive together to Majestic in Lake Geneva, I don’t think Dad would have let me go if Peggy hadn’t been with me.  They knew she was a good influence!
We’ve had fun times visiting each other as adults, even tho we’ve lived far apart.  I was so glad Jason called me and I was able to talk to her on the phone the day she passed.  There’s an empty place in my heart now, but I know she’s at peace now and not struggling with that horrible disease.   We all have so many wonderful memories to hold close in your hearts, and I thank God for that.

It was only for Peggys patience and kindess that I passed Algebra!  She was so kind and was aleady with help and a smile.  You will be missed 💜

Our condolences to the entire family. Peggy and Richard visited Mari and I for a day during their cruise stop in Costa Rica.  It was a great day and always amazing how quickly you can catch up on friendships that have multi-year gaps. RIP Peggy.


Sincere sympathy is extended to the entire Willer family at Peggy's passing.   Although this is a very difficult time for her family and friends, there is some comfort in knowing that she is healthy again and at peace.  I am honored to have been her friend since we were in 5th grade, and I will remember her always as a kind and caring woman.  Prayers to your family.

Many good memories of Peggy!  Weddings, tent camping trips, dinner at Nakanoya, visits in South Dakota, Las Vegas , a fun trip to KONA........  
Very sorry Peggy that you had to endure the pain and frustration of ALS.
I believe you are in a better place now.  God bless you.
