MARIA LEDBETTER Maria J. Ledbetter, 61, a 41-year resident of Las Vegas, passed away July 18, 2013. "Jossie" was born in El Salvador, and was a graduate of the National Commercial School in San Salvador, El Salvador. She came to the United States in the early 1970's, where she would begin her 35-year-long career in the hotel and resort industry. Most recently, Jossie was employed as a dealer at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Jossie loved trendy styles, being up-to-date with the latest fashions and enjoyed healthy cooking. She always had a beautiful smile on her face to share with everyone. Coming from a large family, Jossie greatly valued her family and holiday gatherings were very important to her. She is survived by her loving husband, John S. Ledbetter; two daughters, Maribel and Lissette Artiga; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Scott and Taylor. Funeral Mass will be at noon Friday, July 26, at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Burial following at Palm Northwest Memorial Park, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
