Marvin Randolph Tyner, 68, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 due to leukemia. He was born January 27, 1949, to Marvin Ray and Annie Laura Tyner (Roscoe), in Hartsville, South Carolina. Marvin joined the United States Air Force upon graduation from Hartsville High School. While stationed in Thailand, he met and married his wife, Saithong Tyner (Lapcharoen). After 24 years of dedicated military service to our country, Marvin retired as a Master Sergeant. He continued his hard work ethic as co-owner with his wife of the Thai House Restaurant. Marvin was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Saithong; son, Sam (Christy) of Henderson; grandchildren, Kai, Kalaya, and Taj Tyner; brother, Gene (Debbie) of Georgia; and numerous friends and family. Services will take place at Palm Downtown Mortuary, Las Vegas on Monday, August 7, 2017, with visitation beginning at noon and ceremony starting at 1 pm. Interment will be at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Boulder City on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 1:20 pm.
