Maureen started her career as a very successful hairdresser. She modeled in many hair shows during this time. She was then blessed to be a homemaker for many years, and ended her career as a Front Desk Clerk at several area hotels. She loved to travel and spend her time with her family and friends. She also had a great interest in genealogy and traced her ancestry back many centuries. She was proud of her family most of all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Flora, her husband of 40 years, Fred, and her son, Scott. Survivors include her sons, Wayne (Jill) and Ron (Cheryl), daughters, Kathleen (Mark), Debbie, Sara (Bill), Colette (Jim), and Colleen, and many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Services are currently being planned for 11am Saturday, February 21, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6601 W. Twain Ave., Las Vegas, 89103.
