Michael Anthony Barnett

Michael Anthony Barnett, born September 6, 1958 lost his 9 year battle with cancer peacefully on June 3, 2017 while being comforted by his loving family at home. Michael was born in Long Beach, California in 1958 to Kenneth Franklin Barnett and Shirley Harlane Jones. He grew up going to school and marrying his wife "Charlotte" in California before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1994. Where he raised 3 lovely children together with his wife and had 4 awesome grandsons that loved their Papa. Mike was a devoted Father, Grandfather, Husband, Loving Son, Brother and Faithful Christian. Basketball was a sport he really loved and played anytime he could with friends. Mike was a huge sports fan of the "Lakers" and also a tremendous animal lover and had many family pets including dogs, horses, and even a goat. He enjoyed water sports, boating, hiking, snowmobiling, fishing and quad riding with friends and family often at his cabin in Utah. Even through out all the difficult trials he endured during the last 9 years Mike always kept his faith in God and stayed positive and reassured others unselfishly. He made everyone a friend that he met through his unique personality to put a smile on everyone. He will be remembered by countless friends and family for the way he treated people with his kindness and generosity always trying to make others feel good. Mike always made sure his family knew how deeply he loved them. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; and sons, Michael and Mason, and daughter Tiffany and 4 grandsons. A Memorial service is being held at 10:00am Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 8200 W. Lone Mountain Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89130. In lieu flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society in honor of Mike Barnett. There will be a reception immediately following at the Family's home.
