

Mildred Wyvonna Boyd Arnold, age 93, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011. She was born July 30, 1918 in Provo, Utah to John D. Boyd and Hannah Peterson Boyd. She is survived by her husband of 73 year, Melvin; children, Deryle (George) Broberg, Shirley (John preceded in death) Ahern, M. Earl (Jolene) Arnold and Robin (Elizabeth) Arnold; 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her 10 siblings.
Mildred graduated from Provo High in 1930. It was in her senior year that she met the love of her life Melvin Earl Arnold, II. They were married on August 28, 1938 in the family home in Provo, Utah. Later their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on April 6, 1044. They moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1946.
Mildred was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In the early 1980’s she and her husband were called to service a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Las Vegas Mission.
Viewing will be at the Las Vegas 7th Ward, 3400 W. Charleston Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89102 on Saturday December 10, 2011 at 9:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 am. A graveside service and burial will be held at the Santaquin City Cemetery, 300 South 100 East, Santaquin, Utah Monday December 12th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
