

Mildred Hulen (Millie) was born and raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She graduated from Bowling Green High School (class of 1945) and Western Kentucky Teachers College (now Western Kentucky University) in 1949. She worked as a junior high school teacher for several years in Harrisburg, Illinois. There she met Fred Lancaster from Harrisburg. Fred and Mildred were married in 1952. They lived in Illinois where their twin sons Mike and Pat were born in 1958. The family moved to Jacksonville, Florida where their third son Joe was born in 1964.
In the spring of 1964, the family made the cross country move to Pasadena, California. Mildred and Fred lived there for 31 years. In 1995 they retired to Las Vegas, Nevada. She said that moving to Las Vegas was the best move they ever made.
Fred passed away in 1998.
Mildred was the youngest of the Hulen children born to Robert K. and Elizabeth Hulen. She was preceded in death by her siblings Robert, Helen and Lou Mary and her granddaughter Elizabeth.
