Patrick Michael O’Gara, affectionately known as Pat or Mike, passed away on March 7, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 71. He was born on June 27, 1952, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to his loving parents, Patrick E. O’Gara and Catherine M. Parker. Patrick is survived by his siblings W. Casey, Cathleen Walsh, and T. Sean.
Patrick dedicated his career to the Department of Energy, working with multiple contractors and laboratories, as well as various TV and radio station transmitters. He proudly served in the Navy from January 11, 1972, to October 21, 1977.
A resident of Las Vegas, NV, Patrick was known for his love of cats, his passion for tech and electrical work, and his expertise in transmitters. He is survived by his son Moses (Alicia) of Las Vegas, his daughter Brianna Yancheck (Steven) of Eielson AFB, one granddaughter, six grandsons, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout the United States. He also leaves behind his beloved cats Beep, Scamper, and Casper.
A service to celebrate Patrick's life will be held on April 5th at 5pm at the LDS building, located at 9580 Peace Way, Las Vegas, NV 89147.
