On July 15, 2019, Patrick Edward O’Sullivan, departed us to journey to a better land. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Pat was born on June 25, 1934 in Long Beach, California. He is survived by his wife of 55 years (Soon Young O’Sullivan), older son (Thomas O’Sullivan), daughter (Catherine O’Sullivan), younger son (James O’Sullivan), their spouses, seventeen grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his faithful dog Bandit.
Pat went to St. John Bosco through junior high school, St. Anthony High School, Loyola University, and Thunderbird International School of Management. Prior to Thunderbird, Pat served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant on a mine sweeper.
After receiving his masters, Pat returned to Asia, went into business, met his wife, and worked until 1979. He then returned to Kansas City, Missouri, where he served as President of Midland International Corporation. Subsequent to Midland, Pat started his own electronics company (PAL 7) with a group of longtime friends. They became part of Maxon International, a company manufacturing electronics products in Asia and having offices around the world.
Pat came to Las Vegas in 1991, where he remained for the rest of his life. In Las Vegas, Pat enjoyed his retirement with his wife, and took care of a steadily growing number of grandchildren.
He is fondly recalled by a vast number of friends, as well as his family. His sense of humor and vast selflessness in helping others will be forever remembered.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua, 6350 N. Ft. Apache Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89149.
