Patsy J. Draper was born April 24, 1929, in Milford, Utah. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1950. She worked first at the local phone company, and then the Thunderbird Hotel before entering a 30-year career with the DOE. After retiring, she enjoyed working with a few of the DOE subcontractors, the Metropolitan Police Department, her grandson’s real estate business, and the District Court.
Patsy loved bingo, video keno machines, fishing, bowling and any kind of card or board game. Watching football was one of her favorite past times.
Patsy cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed all of the family get togethers. She loved all of the holidays, making sure every member received a phone call to sing “Happy Birthday” to them. She loved to make pineapple cakes for coworkers.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Sams (David), Ronna Hoesch (Ken), Barbara Schoenmakers (Michael), and her doting grandson, David Sams(Heather), 6 other grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, her brother, Willam C. Harvey(Nora), one niece(Alice) and one nephew(Bill), and many step grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her son, Billy.
