

Pearl M. Gettman, a long-time Wiggins resident, passed away on February 24 in Las Vegas, Nevada after a short illness. She was 87. She was born March 8, 1924 in Royal Oak, Michigan to parents John and Lena (Walter) Gettman. She graduated Hudson High School at age 16, and went on to Parks Business School in Denver, Colorado. While raising her children, she was a hard-working farmer’s wife for 26 years. Then she was Office Manager of Valley Feed & Seed for 20 years. She retired from there, moved to Denver and hosted foreign students for the next five years. She volunteered her gardening skills for many years to beautify the public areas in the towns she lived in. Pearl was proud of being a Master Gardner, but baffled by Las Vegas calichi! Pearl is predeceased by her parents, sister, Dorothy Belich ; brothers, Reuben Gettman, Jack Gettman, John Gettman, Kenneth Gettman, and Richard Gettman. She is survived by her son, Rodger Hessler in Casper, Wyoming; daughters, Charmagne Moss and Sidney Zimbelman in Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Joyce Hagerty Peterson in Lakewood, Colorado; grandchildren, Stacey Moss, Devin Moss, Crystal Hessler, Ashley Hessler and Chris Zimbelman. Contributions may be made to Arbor Day Foundation or plant a tree in her memory. Memorial Services are pending. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Mortuary, 7400 W.
