

Porfiria is survived by her children, Manuel , Javier, Gabriel, and Marco. Her grandchildren, Susana, Hector, Francisco, Alma, Antonio, Noah, Vanessa, Julianna, Orion ,Leonardo. Her great grandchildren, Jordan, Jesus, Isabel, Mila ,Brianna, Kahlani, Julietta, Liam, Wyatt, Lennox, Oliver, Levi, Angelo. Her daughters-in-law, Blanca, Martha, Nancy, Stephanie. Her sisters Juana and Magdalena. Her brothers Francisco and Juan. Nieces Rosa, Josefina, Barbara, Elena, Teresa , Andrea , Mayra, Veronica. Nephews Juan, Mario, Felipe, Isaac.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, siblings, daughter, cousins and friends.
Porfiria was born on Monday, January 24, 1938 in Ahualulco de Mercado, Jalisco , Mexico to Juan Ramirez and Josefina Nuño. She married Alfonso Gonzalez on November 26, 1964 in Tijuana B.C. Mexico. They lived in Tijuana and California before settling in Las Vegas, Nevada where they raised their four sons. They were devout members of the Catholic Church.
Her children remember her as a strong , hard working , kind ,caring mother , who instilled good morals and values in them. Showed them the love for god and the importance of family.
Her grandchildren are eternally grateful for the love and care that she poured into our upbringing. For always being there and never leaving us behind . For teaching us that a grandma is just another mother. Love you Pia.
Her daughters in law will remember her for being the women that shaped the men who they fell in love with. For being a little hard on them as she wanted the best women for her sons’. For being a lifelong companion to Blanca she will dearly be missed.
Her great grandchildren who she met but didn’t nearly get enough time with.
Porfiria worked 50 years in the housekeeping industry. She was passionate and dedicated about her work. She worked at Stardust, Sahara, MGM and Bally’s hotels. Where she created many memories and lifelong friendships.
Her interests were sewing and cooking. She was an amazing seamstress she made many beautiful items of clothing for her children and grandchildren. Cooking was her love language she always made sure everyone was fed. If you went to her house you knew you would have to eat something.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She definitely impacted all who she met. She loved Sunday breakfasts’ with her dear friends and Sunday carne asadas with her family.
Visiting hours will be from 4 – 8 o’clock December 5, 2024 Palm Mortuary 1325 N Main St. The following day she will be taken to mass at Saint Christopher Catholic Church at 1 o’clock. Following mass is her burial at 3 o’clock Palm Mortuary 7600 S Eastern. Reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Porfiria’s life.
