Born August 28, 1940, Terry built a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and dedication to his trade and his family. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 12, where he also served in various leadership roles throughout his career. Over the course of his working life, he earned the respect of those alongside him through his skill, reliability, and a work ethic that never wavered.
He was a good friend to those in his inner circle — always happy to see you, generous to a fault, and willing to lend a helping hand (especially if you needed a car towed).
He is survived by his wife, Dianna; his sons, James, Craig, and Darrell Osterhoudt; and his daughter, Terri Lynn Reeves. He is also survived by his brothers, Bob, Ron, and Don Osterhoudt; and his sisters, Sandy Cecchini and Linda Manley; along with multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Jennie Osterhoudt, and his son, Steven Osterhoudt.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 3:30 p.m. at the compound, 5001 W. Gilmore Las Vegas, NV 89130
Terry’s strength, steadiness, and willingness to show up for the people he cared about defined his life. His presence will be deeply missed, but the work ethic, resilience, and loyalty he modeled will live on in his family for generations.
