

Regine Marie LeGuern was born on December 9, 1943 in Rennes, France to Frederic Vogel and Lucette LeGuern. At an early age, Regine became a passionate dancer, singer and performer. Regine moved to Las Vegas in 1960 with the second troupe of the Folies Bergere. She performed and led in many major productions in Las Vegas, Miami, Montreal and Puerto Rico. Her name appeared on marquis under various stage names like Regine Cartier and Regine Dean. Some production titles included: Folies Bergere, Latin Fire Follies, Verve – It Started with Eve, Cleopatra, and Revue Royale De Paris.
Regine was an accomplished high limit baccarat dealer at the Tropicana and the Desert Inn and a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Regine was an avid world traveler but would always return home to France to visit her family and friends. With her charisma, Regine could always make people laugh and was the life of the party. Her great loves included performing on stage, her close family and friends, her pets, and art work. Regine L. Dean passed away on May 14, 2013 at 1:30 A.M. in Las Vegas, NV due to medical complications and is survived by her loving son, 5 adorable grandchildren, and countless extended family, surrogate family, and close friends.
