

At 80 years old, Ricardo Pineda “Ric, Carding” passed away peacefully on the morning of the 6th of February 2025. Ricardo was born in the Philippines to Alfonso and Emilia Pineda. He grew up with eight siblings and many cousins. Ricardo worked as a teacher, an electrician, and an electronic technician before working as a civilian employee at Clark Air base and Subic Naval base in the Philippines. He was also an overseas Filipino worker in the middle east before migrating with his wife and three children in the United States where he continued to work as a building maintenance, TV broadcasting technician, and a computer technician. He lived in San Diego for about a year and moved to Guam, Reno, and Las Vegas then eventually retired in the Philippines with his wife. He and his wife visited their family in Las Vegas every year or so. He loved listening to a variety of music but his all-time favorite was country music. Ricardo will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, charity, his unconditional friendship, his love for his family and his good sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held on February 22, 2025 at 3350 W. Alexander Rd. North Las Vegas, NV 89032 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1:00 PM with the burial and grave site service will take place at 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas NV 89131 at 3:00 PM
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Teofista, five children, Roel, Nancy, Don, Cecille, and Rey, 9 grandchildren, Jed, Trixie, Allard, Camisha, Brent, AJ, Jaysen, Lana and Charlotte, and his siblings, Corazon, Conrado, and Manuel. He was preceded in death by his parents, oldest brother Edilberto, younger sisters Erlinda, Milagros, Elizabeth and youngest brother Norway.
