Shelfo, Allen "Richie" passed away Friday, August 13th, 2010, after fighting a tough battle with lung cancer. He passed away at his Las Vegas home surrounded by his loving wife and children. Richie was the cherished husband of Carol, loving father of Anthony (Joyce), Joey, and Chrissy, devoted grandfather of Christina and Amanda. Rich was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He retired to Las Vegas in 2001 after serving as a Franklin Park police officer for 23 years. Rich also owned and operated a jewelry business in Franklin Park for several years. Rich always put his family first, especially is children. He would do anything in his power to help them, in any way, throughout his entire life. He had a way of making new as well as old friends feel welcome and was the type of man that everyone wanted to be around. As a very well liked, loved and respected man, he will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
