A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church.
Robert (Bob) was born in Washington, D.C. to Gladys Furness and Frederick Arthur Clark on November 21, 1947. Bob attended West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Virginia Tech, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting. It was at Tech where he would meet his future wife, Joan Dalton; they later married in 1970. The Clarks subsequently lived in Maryland and South Dakota before moving to Nevada in 1985, where they would permanently settle with their family, including daughters Annemarie and Kathleen (Katie).
Bob worked for 35 years at Citibank, where he was a Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Board Director of Citibank Nevada. A devout Christian, Bob was actively involved at Grace Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder, including chairing the Worship Committee, and enjoyed fellowship and Bible study with fellow congregants.
Bob was actively involved in his children’s lives and enjoyed helping with their many school projects and activities. He served as Cookie Chair for Katie’s Girl Scout Troop for many years and later volunteered in Annemarie’s classroom with Junior Achievement (JA). Beyond his wife (who he affectionately referred to as his ‘sweet babboo’), daughters and church, Bob was passionate about Hokie football, the Rolling Stones, classical music and cult classic films, such as Office Space.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Frederick Arthur Clark, Jr.
Bob is survived by his wife, Joan; his daughters, Annemarie Stover and Kathleen; his son-in-law, Timothy Stover; his sister, Carolyn Perrine; his sister-in-law, Alice Clark; his nephews, Frederick Clark and Dr. Andrew Clark; and his niece, Whitney Perrine
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmnorthwest.com for the Clark family.
