Rosalie Jane Ashness, 68, of Las Vegas, passed away June 26, 2011, in her sleep at home. She was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Hartford, Conn., and was a 60-year resident of Nevada. Rosalie was retired from an illustrious career as a beloved and award winning realtor, selling real estate in Las Vegas from 1981 through 2001. Rosalie also held a major partnership in American Security & Protective Services until 2008. Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Brenda (David) Williams; son, James Ashness; three grandchildren, David Williams III, Elizabeth (Scott) Johnson and Sean Caudill; two brothers, Ed Breen and Bob Breen; and three sisters, Juanita Warren, Mary Bertram and Kathleen Breen. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. (at Oakey). The family asks that donations be made in her name to Creekside Hospice.
