Roslyn K Threet-Payton

Roslyn was born in New York to Rachel Press and Abraham Threet on January 23, 1968. She married Vaurice Payton Jr. on September in Las Vegas. She graduated from Concord Career College. She worked as a licensed vocational nurse for San Bernardino Community Hospital. She was involved in K.J.R.S. (Kids Just Really Succeed) while her kids were involved in the program. She received multiple achievements and recognition for her work in foster care at Eagle Quest.

She was a kind and beautiful soul, showing great strength when facing challenges and always provided warm hug or words of encouragement. She was a heart and soul of the family and leaves behind a legacy of strength and love. She was a woman of many titles such a nurse, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She prided herself on being the best wife and mother and our family has been blessed to have been in the presence of such a beautiful and kind soul.

Roslyn is preceded in death by Abraham Threet, Rachel Press, and Celeste (Shelly) Threet. Roslyn is survived by her loving husband Vaurice Payton Jr.; children Tawanna Payton, Alexis Payton, and Vaurice Payton IV; granddaughter Kamora Edmond; siblings Abraham Press, Nancy Buskey, Samuel Plotnick, Allen Threet, Virginia Threet, Sheila Threet, Lejuan Threet, and Benedette Threet.

Pallbearers will be Vaurice Payton Jr, Vaurice Payton IV, Lejuan Threet, Reginald La Beaud, Keenan Porter, and Kevin Gatewood.

The family of Roslyn Threet-Payton wishes to extend our sincere thanks to family and friends for their love and kindness. Memorials may be given to the Payton family.

A visitation for Roslyn will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A funeral service will take place at 12:00pm with a burial to follow at 1:00pm at Palm Northwest Cemetery. The Payton family will be hosting a reception on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
