Sandra Marlene Campbell was born August 24, 1938 in Pasadena, California. Her father was a musician with a special gift as a left handed trumpet player and her mother a home-maker. She had a brother three years older named Arthur and a little brother, Gary who was three years younger. Stella and Homer Adams raised approximately four hundred foster children over the years. Her mother, Dorothy was remarried in 1950 and her new husband bought a house for Dorothy and her three children in Palmdale, California. Sandra graduated from Antelope Valley High school in 1956. Education was always very important to her in her life. She continued to work for Headstart Preschools for twelve years while she continued her education in Early Childhood Development. She got her Bachelor's Degree from Pacific Oaks College at age fifty-two. Over the last twenty years she was in Las Vegas. She settled in; spent time with three grandchildren, Karlie now fourteen, Robert Stephen, thirteen and Alekzander, seven. Her family has always been "everything" to her as is character of a "good" mother. She lived with her daughter Vickie and her granddaughter till the end. This home she got comfortable in, owned by her son Bob, rented by her daughter was her comfort and security. We all visited as often as we could. Our mother, Sandra, a meticulously organized lady, was caring and warm, out spoken, strong and hot tempered at times. She had many friends and truly enjoyed her later years in life mostly surrounded by the love of her grandchildren and her kids. She loved the Lord and two days prior to her passing very quietly she said, "I'm with God". I knew she would be at peace no matter what. Although our family knows she is at peace, we are deeply saddened by her passing. We already miss her but we know that we will see her again one day. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
