Sarah Ann Wika, 28, passed away on July 21, 2013 in Las Vegas Nevada. She was born on October 5th, 1984 in Longview Washington to Jeff and Minette Wika. She was baptized at St. Rose Catholic Church in Longview Washington. The family relocated to Henderson, Nevada in 1999. Sarah is survived by her daughter: Ava Marie, her mother: Minette Taylor, her father: Jeff Wika, her 3 brothers: Justin, Cody, and Cole, her grandparents: Pierre and Claire Pype, grandmother Phyllis Wika, and 22 Aunts and Uncles and 28 cousins who all loved her dearly. Sarah was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Ozzie Wika. She graduated in 2003 from Silverado High School. Sarah was a very determined girl. She could accomplish anything she set her mind to! After High School, she immediately obtained her real estate license and was also very successful with modeling.
On November 21, 2010 Sarah gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Ava Marie. Ava brought so much joy into Sarah’s life! I have never seen her happier than she was with her little girl. Ava brought out a special glow in Sarah that not everyone got to see.
Sarah also adored her family and friends. She was beautiful, kind hearted, and intelligent. Her sense of humor was infectious, she made you smile anytime she was in your presence and her beautiful smile would light up the room. Sarah had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone including all of her four legged friends. Sarah lived life to the fullest. She was truly loved by all and was taken from us far too soon. A celebration of life service for Sarah will be on Wednesday July 31st, at 3pm at Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church, 2120 Lindell Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89146
In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to a trust fund for Ava Marie Wattoo at U.S. Bank. Paypal can be used sending to [email protected].
We little knew that morning God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide, And although we cannot see you, You are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.
