Stefani was born on November 19, 1966, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Herb and Barbara Craig. When she was two years old, the family moved to Clark Air Force Base, Philippines. This is where she began her early
education. She was excited to attend the Department of Defense Schools. However, she was quite disappointed on her first day of school when she “didn’t even learn to read!” Living overseas sparked her passion and curiosity for travel which lasted throughout her life.
After five years, Stefani and her family moved to Bellevue, Nebraska, where they lived for the next two years. It was quite a shock to move from the tropical rainforest to blizzards and tornadoes! The next big move was to Las Vegas, Nevada! This is where she would grow up! Her time was filled with family vacations, camping, waterskiing, snow skiing, music camp, youth rallies, and church camp. When she was 11 years old, while at a church camp, she was baptized.
While in high school, Stefani discovered her deep passion and appreciation for music. She was in various school choirs, Sound Unlimited, honor choirs, and more. She traveled to Europe with Sound of America and performed in 6 countries.
Following her graduation at the age of 16, she was so excited to begin her college years at Abilene Christian University, Abilene, Texas. Stefani continued to develop her skills, knowledge, and love for music. She participated in school-wide music and theater productions such as Homecoming Musicals, Sing Song, and A Cappella Choir.
Stefani’s next adventure took her to Nashville, Tennessee, where she lived a year before finding her Heart in San Diego, California, where she lived and loved for twenty-five years. She juggled several different jobs, from office manager to concert bar manager. She sold tickets to various live events and furthered her education in the area of graphic design. This led her to become the boss of her own company, Highmoon Productions. Throughout her life, she developed life-long relationships with people everywhere. She was determined to maintain those connections and friendships.
For the past ten years, Stefani returned to Las Vegas to be closer to her family, where they could all take care of each other. We were blessed to be so close and to make some amazing memories. She may be gone but
never forgotten.
Stefani is preceded in death by her grandparents: Floyd & Zela Davenport and Homer & Frances Craig. Surviving her are her parents, Herb & Barbara Craig; sister, Leslie Stubbs; and her nieces, Kylie & Kaylin Stubbs. Extended family include: Richard Brown, Carolyn Mason, Sam & Pam Beard, Kent and Teresa Davenport and their families.
