Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Steve spent much of his life working as a building engineer and Union President for the University of Chicago before eventually retiring.
Steve loved music, horror movies, and everything paranormal and alien-related. He could often be found tinkering with new ways to fix or upgrade appliances around his home and the homes of his friends all while having a cigarette in his hand. Steve was on the forefront of research when it came to the conspiracies of area 51 to finding out if the Bible is real or not.
Steve will be remembered for his humor, storytelling, stubbornness, and the way he showed care by helping others whenever they needed assistance.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Grace Hobbs, and his son, Ivan Hobbs.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
