Valerie was born the 3rd child to Dorotha Janet and the first child to her father, Gene King, both of whom preceded her in death.
Valerie lived in Las Vegas and later, as an adult, moved to Pahrump, Nevada, where she met and married her beloved husband, Ken Johnson.
Valerie enjoyed being a homemaker; she loved to cook. She had a passion for music and was proficient in playing both the piano and guitar. Valerie loved simple things in life, like sitting on the couch holding her husband's hand while watching movies, and taking care of B.B. Kitty, her cat.
Valerie was a generous woman with a big heart. She often commented about how blessed by God she was. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the honor of spending time with her.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Kenneth Johnson, siblings Sandra (Ed) Huggard, William (Karen) King, Jean King, niece Megan (Justin) Smerber, B.B. Kitty (the 2nd) and many extended family and friends.
